Venue: City Hall “Römer”

The opening reception for IASA 2011 willl take place at Frankfurt town hall “Römer”. If you registered for the reception you will find your official invitation by Frankfurt Lord Mayor Petra Roth in your conference envelope including the directions to get there.

Note: you cannot register for the reception at the conference and information desk.

Sixtonics Concert

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 at 19.00 hrs

Venue: Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Eschersheimer Landstraße 29-39, 60322 Frankfurt am Main.

This will be a very special event organised by IASA, Sixtonicswith the five vocal artists and their wonderful accompanist performing in a variety of styles including beloved titles once sung by the Comedian Harmonists. You will take part in an instantaneous recording of the concert on a historic decelith disc – a very special event!

Location: Frankfurter Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Eschersheimer Landstraße 29-39, 60322 Frankfurt am Main.

Blues Blend Concert

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 at 19.30 hrs

Venue: Die Fabrik, Mittlerer Hasenpfad 5, 60598 Frankfurt am Main.

A special concert with the famous Frankfurt Band BluesBlend. The band has already won several awards, they play blues rock or boogie, original compositions and innovative interpretations of the same genre classics from New Orleans or Chicago.

Location: The performance will take place in the excellent King Creole restaurant, one of the oldest New Orleans restaurants of its kind in Germany. Join a culinary journey that you will rarely find at this quality in Germany and spend a memorable evening that your taste buds something special!

Farewell Dinner

Thursday, September 8th, 2011 at 19.00 hrs

This will be the social highlight of the conference! The restaurant is called “Schöne Aussicht” (“Nice view”) and it lives up to his name: the restaurant and the garden terrace, where the cocktails will be served, offer a wonderful view over the Main valley to the Spessart and Odenwald. Wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee and tea and of course the wonderful food are included in the dinner price.

If you prefer vegetarian food please leave a note at the conference and information desk until Wednesday, 7th September 2011, 12.00 h.

Buses to take you to the restaurant will depart at the main entrance of the Hessischer Rundfunk / Hessian Broadcasting (hr) at 18.30 h.

Departure from the restaurant back to Frankfurt City will be at 22.30 and 23.30 h. You can choose your departure time. Buses will take you back either to the Hessischer Rundfunk / Hessian Broadcasting (hr) or to most of the hotels downtown.
