Getting there

Getting to Frankfurt

Frankfurt am Main has excellent connections by air, road and rail. Frankfurt international airport is just 12 km (7 miles) from the city centre.

 

Travel to the conference venue by public transport

The conference will take place at two locations which are 10 minutes walking distance apart: the Hessian Broadcasting Corporation (Hessischer Rundfunk) and the German National Library (Deutsche Nationalbibliothek)

Hessischer Rundfunk / Hessian Broadcasting Corporation (hr):

The meetings on Saturday, 3rd and Sunday, 4th September will take place in the conference rooms of the Hessischer Rundfunk / Hessian Broadcasting Corporation, building K 2nd floor.  The same applies to the workshops during the week and the board meeting on Friday, 9th September.

How to get there by public transport:
From the Hauptbahnhof / main railway station (lower level) take ) take any S-Train to “Hauptwache” station. Change to one of the following underground lines (travel time approximately 20 minutes):

  • U1 (Ginnheim) to "Dornbusch" station
  • line U2 (towards Bad Homburg-Gonzenheim) to "Dornbusch" station
  • line U3 (towards Oberursel-Hohemark) to "Dornbusch" station
  • line U8 (towards Riedberg) to "Dornbusch" station.
  • line U5 (towards Preungesheim) to "Hauptfriedhof" station.

From the airport local railway station take the S8 or S9 line towards Hanau or Offenbach Ost to "Hauptwache" station. Change there to line U1 (towards Ginnheim), or U2 (towards Bad Homburg-Gonzenheim), or U3 (towards Oberursel-Hohemark) or U8 (towards Riedberg) to "Dornbusch" station. Travel time approximately 30 minutes.

 

Deutsche Nationalbibliothek / German National Library (DNB):

The main conference venue from Monday, 5 to Thursday, 9 September will be the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek / German National Library in Frankfurt am Main.
Address: Adickesallee 1, 60322 Frankfurt am Main.

Getting there by public transport:
From the Hauptbahnhof / main railroad station (lower level): line U5 (underground) towards Preungesheim to "Deutsche Nationalbibliothek" station. Travel time approximately 10 minutes.

From the airport local railway station: line S8 or S9 towards Hanau or Offenbach Ost to "Konstablerwache" station. Change to U5 (underground) towards Preungesheim to "Deutsche Nationalbibliothek" station. Travel time approximately 30 minutes.

Bus no. 32 goes to the stop "Deutsche Nationalbibliothek".
